- First, we shall go to the search window by clicking here on the "binoculars" button. This is the Find Record button.
- The record search window should open.
- Now, first specify where to search for results here. Since we want to concentrate our search in a single field, click on the "Single Field" option.
- Then, click on this field and type in the text you want to search for.
- Afterwards, click on "Search"
- Oh! There seems to be no records found. Let's figure out what went wrong. Click "OK" to continue.
- It seems the problem lies with the field chosen for the search.
- Click on this down-arrow to see a list of available fields to search for and click on the correct field you need.
- Since we are looking for a last name "Bush" we have clicked on the option "LastName"
- Afterwards, click on "Search" again.
- Great! The results have been highlighted. Take note that "Bush" doesn't appear on any other field besides the LastName field. That is why the search eariler failed.
