How-To: Select a range of cells by dragging the mouse - OpenOffice.org Calc
- One of the most common and easier ways of selecting cells is by dragging the mouse.
- To do this, first click and hold the left mouse button over the first cell you need selected.
- Then, while still holding the button, move your mouse through the other cells. This basically "drags" the selection to a range of cells.
- Once you've selected all need, release the mouse button.
- Good! Now we are ready to format the cells. For this example we are just adding a fill color to them by clicking on this button...
- ...and then clicking on the color we want for them.
- Great! The cells have been formatted! Congratulations! You have learned how to select cell ranges by dragging the mouse.
